To set the correct sound level meter measurement parameters you only need to load the "Sound Insulation" configuration file using the NoiseStudio program. After connecting the sound level meter, open the "Sound Level Meter >> Instrument Setup" menu and choose "Load Settings" in the "Options" screen.
The measurement parameters will be the following:
Measurement range with 140 dB bottom scale
Integration time equal to at least 30s. In any case it should ensure the equivalent level stabilization and the measurements repeatability
Single integration
Measurement parameters of the OCTAVE or TOCTAVE screen:
For the HD2110 set the spectrum analysis in AVERAGE (AVR) mode.
A auxiliary weighting.
After displaying the SLM screen on the sound level meter, press RUN/STOP/RESET to begin the measurement.
Wait for the instrument to reach the set integration time and press RUN/STOP/RESET to end the measurement.
Press the REC key to record the displayed parameters.
If you wish to use the spectral analysis by octave bands in order to select the PPE, open the OCTAVE or TOCTAVE screen, by pressing MODE, and press again the REC key to record the spectrum.
You should note down the recording number associated to the measurement stations. With the HD2110 you can assign a name to each recording.
Perform in sequence the sound level measurements in all workplaces.
Download the data from the sound level meter, and save them in the PC's mass storage.
Now you can perform the sound insulation analysis using the NoiseStudio program.
